Vacation Bible School
Every summer we co-host a Vacation Bible School with our sister church (West Fulton) from near Wauseon, Ohio. Children from both congregations attend, as well as many children from the community. They enjoy a week of Bible study and stories, various crafts, games, and an opportunity to make new friends.

Nursing Home Ministry
Once a month we hold a Sunday afternoon service at a local nursing home. This consists of a time of singing with a devotional encouraging the residents. Many of the elderly know the songs and sing and follow along. They especially enjoy seeing the families with young children.
Jail Ministry
For a number of years, we have had the privilege of ministering monthly in a local county jail in a neighboring community. A Sunday afternoon service consisting of singing and Bible teaching is held with men and women groups separately. There are sometimes opportunities to interact and minister to inmates individually.
Service Projects Ministry
On various occasions, volunteers from the congregation with carpentry and related skills have made home repairs for the elderly in our fellowship and others in the community. Our youth group often responds to and lends a helping hand in a variety of capacities.
Community Hymn Sings
The congregation hosts this event quarterly on a Sunday evening. Members from other churches attend, and numerous individuals from the community. The hour-long acapella singing service is followed by a time of fellowship.
Spiritual Enrichment
The congregation has had a heart for not only addressing and meeting the spiritual needs of our own number, but also of other followers of Christ. We believe that there are benefits in focused group meetings of men, women and young adults. Various individuals in the congregation have been involved with the founding and ongoing support of the Men's Retreat, Ladies Retreat and Dunkard Brethren Bible School.
Men's Retreat
This event is held annually in February on a Friday-Saturday near Hillsdale, Michigan at the Michindoh Conference Center. Bible teaching, singing, fellowship, recreation and the opportunity to meet with brothers from other states create a meaningful experience.
Women's Retreat
This event is held annually in October on a Friday-Saturday near Angola, Indiana at the Lake James Christian Camp and Retreat Center. The structure is similar to the men’s and has been meaningful in the lives of many women.
Dunkard Brethren Bible School
This annual event was initially hosted by the Pleasant Ridge Congregation for several years. The Berean Congregation in Peru, Indiana is the current host.
The week-long session is available for youth 17 years and up, and also married couples. Students typically have three instructors and topics, along with a focus on chorus. The event culminates with a worship service featuring the music the students have learned. Learn More
